How to describe Lordi for the un-initiated? Well they're a hard rock band from Finland. Oh, and they're also monsters. Yep. Monsters who rock!
The band almost never appear in public without their elaborate costumes and make up, the characters of which all have full back stories. They're also known for their theatrical live shows, and they've been in a few movies (of varying quality - Dark Floors is worth a watch with a couple of beers)
They also, quite awesomely, won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006. Whilst they were already known on the rock scene at the time, it was this that catapulted them to international fame.
So what better song to showcase them than the song they won with, here's Hard Rock Hallelujah which appears on their 2006 album The Arockalypse. If Eurovision had more songs like this then we'd watch it every year!
