appears on The Final Countdown (1986)
A song so good they released it twice. Most people know Europe from their mid 80's mega hit The Final Countdown, and even if you don't know of Europe, you'd probably still recognise the tune from it's countless appearances in TV shows, movies and as one of those songs that every club with the word "rock" in it's name plays at least once during the night.
Just before their rise to fame, they recorded Rock The Night, originally for a soundtrack and released it in 1985 where it peaked at number 4 in their native Sweden. After the success of The Final Countdown, it got a wider release and a newer music video, and went on to break the top 10 in several other countries.
