appears on Celldweller (2003)
If you've played a lot of video games or seen a lot of movies over the last decade or so, there's solid chance you've heard Celldweller even if you haven't heard of Celldweller. The primary project of what seems to be one of the busiest musicians in the industry, Klayton (who is also responsible for Circle of Dust and Scandroid amongst others), has had it's blend of electronic / industrial rock featured in many a movie and game (including an absolute banger of a track for Dead Rising 2).
The project came to fruition in the early 2000s with a self titled album, and counting the 3 instrumental albums but not the numerous remix ones, they currently have 8 albums worth of tracks to pull from, including the fantastic "Offworld" that forgoes the usual aggressive industrial sound for a more stripped back and mellow approach (and is currently this author's official recommendation to accompany a whiskey on the rocks after a tough week).
But for our pick this week we're going back to the beginning with a track from their self titled debut album - so sit back and enjoy the angry earworm that is, "My Own Little World".
