appears on Slave Design (20th Anniversary Edition) (2024)
Ok so we generally try to avoid posting about tracks from bands we've covered before but we've got a soft spot for this particular band.
Whilst they haven't officially re-united, we'd more or less reluctantly given up on hearing anything new out of the Swiss industrial metal band Sybreed since their dissolution in 2013. So to say we didn't squeal with a little bit of joy when hearing that not only were they planning to remaster and re-release their debut album, but that it would include a 'new' song, would be an understatement.
The track itself isn't technically that new. It has roots all the way back to 2003 and was apparently one that didn't make the cut on the original album, which quite frankly that's tragic in itself because it's a banger. But at least we get to hear it now and it means the guys are open to going back in the studio .. so whilst they haven't made any official announcements, here's hoping that if they aren't planning on making any completely new tunes, that there might be another couple of unfinished tracks hidden down the back of a drawer somewhere that we can convince them to put out.
So we're bending the rules a bit here this week to shine a spotlight on it. Without further pomp and circumstance, here's System Debaser appearing on the 20th anniversary edition of Slave Design.
If you like what you hear, please consider purchasing via Bandcamp if the option is available as this is usually the best way to support the artist.
