Metallica - Battery

appears on Master of Puppets (1986)

Metallica are arguably the most famous metal band of all time, and for good reason. They defined thrash metal in the 1980s and later went on to diversify into many other sub genres of rock music including hard rock and nu metal. While many folks felt that this diversification only solidified their reputation as talented musicians, other die hard thrash fans loathed and despised it. However, whichever side of the fence you fall on their more recent efforts, there is no denying that this classic from the third of their “original four” thrash albums has withstood the test of time! As James himself points out - “Battery is here to stay.” 🤘
