appears on The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume (2006)
The weather is getting a bit colder and so are we this week.
Canadian rockers Evans Blue appeared in the mid 2000's and quickly made a name for themselves on the alternative rock scene. Their sound is what I like to affectionately like to call "moody whiskey music", heavy in all the right places, with a real 'screw the world' vibe and the sort of lyrics you can get over a break up to.
In 2008 the band unfortunately parted ways with their original vocalist (who went on to form Parabelle) and in doing so have seemed to have lost some of their depth on their later albums, but their first two are a definite requirement for any fans of the genre.
So, this week we present for your enjoyment, their debut single, Cold, taken from their first album The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume. Enjoy!
